Name: Nate Wilson #15
Last Team: Morse Royals
Yr With Spits: 1st
Position:D

Entering his first season with Grenfell's Spitfires, Nate Wilson is one of many new faces that will anchor the teams revamped defensive core. Nate played with the Morse Royals last season, and comes to us also via the Melville Millionaires and Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL. Nate is currently taking the Power Engineering course in Swift Current.

Last Team: Grenfell Spitfires
Yr With Spits: 5th
Position: C

A familiar face to Spitfire fans, Chris has returned for his 5th season with the boys in blue. Alocal, Chris chose to play his minor hockey in the Grenfell system. His smooth skating and keen hockey sense have made him a fan favorite in the town and surrounding areas. Chris' work has led him to Regina, where he is a 4th year electrician.


Name: Kelly Lueck # 41
Last Team: Bethune Bulldogs
Yr With Spits: 1st
Position: G

Kelly is joining the Spitfires this season via the Bethune Bulldogs of the Highway Hockey League. During his tenure there he captured the award for Top Goaltending Average in 2007/08. Grenfell fans also remember Kelly from that year as he led his Bulldogs past the Spitfires in the first round of the Provincial A Championships. Kelly lives in Regina and works for Investors Group.


Name: Scott Hardy #13
Last Team: Grenfell Spitfires
Yr With Spits: 2nd
Position: RW

Scott is a Grenfell product, born and raised. This is his first year out of midget where he played with a combination team of Grenfell / Whitewood last season. He also played with the Spits last season, receiving praise for his style of play and his ability to fit any role needed on the team. Scott lives in Grenfell where he works as an apprentice carpenter


Name: Brett Cross #31
Last Team: Lloydminster Border Kings
Yr With Spits: 1st
Position: RW

Brett Cross joins the Spits this year via the Lloydminster Border Kings of the Chinook Hockey League. A product of Glenavon and former QVHL Scoring Champion, Brett adds to the large percentage of Spitfires with ties to the area. A pure goal scorer, Brett wields one of the best shots in the league and will prove to be menacing to goalies around the league.


Name: Ryan Keinas #22
Last Team: Grenfell Spitfires
Yr With Spits: 4th
Position: RW

Ryan Keinas came to the Spits 3 years ago from Melville, via Broadview. He has spent the last 3 seasons impressing Spitfire fans with his smooth speed and ability to score in big games. Before the Spits, Ryan played for the Melville Millionaires and the Tisdale Trojans, with whom he won a Air Canada Cup Migdet AAA National Championship. Ryan lives in Melville and works for CN.


Name: Justin Wilchynski #20
Last Team: Grenfell Spitfires
Yr With Spits: 2nd
Position: C

After an outstanding first season with the Spitfires Grenfell native Justin took last winter off from hockey, choosing to spend the better part of the winter in Europe. Now back home and attending the University of Regina for Commerce, Justin is resuming his time with the Spits. After moving away from Grenfell at the age of 13, Justin went on to play in the SJHL for the Kindersley Clippers and then the University of Regina Cougars before making his return to the team.


Name: Trevor Olynick #6
Last Team: Central Butte Flyers
Yr With Spits: 1st
Position: D

A former player for the Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL and product of Morse, Trevor adds a strong defensive presence to the blueline. A 6'1" tough defenceman, he will prove to be a tall order for most top forwards around the league. Trevor currently lives and works in Regina.


Name: Logan Dew #13
Last Team: Waywayseekappo Wolverines
Yr With Spits: 1st
Position: C

A product of Windthorst, SK Logan joins the Spitfires in his first season out of junior hockey. His junior career saw him spend 2 seasons with the Yorkton Terriers of the SJHL, and finish with the Waywayseekappo Wolverines of the MJHL. A small but skilled forward, Logan has already made an impact on his new team showing his ability to not only score big goals, but to set up big goals as well.





Name: Joe Steranko #19 "C"
Last Team: Grenfell Spitfires
Yr With Spits: 4th
Position: D

Entering his first season as Spitfires captain and 4th overall, Joe has proven he is a top defenceman in the league. Last years runner-up for Top Defenceman in the QVHL, Joe displays some of the best skill and hockey ability of anyone in the league. A former captain of the Melville Millionaires, Joe now resides in Regina where he is attending the University of Regina for Geology




Name: Jared Wirth #33
Last Team: Pilot Butte
Yr With Spits: 1st
Position: G

Jared Wirth joins the Spits this year as a late edition goaltender after last years starter Tyson Schmidt left the team due to work commitments. A product of Neudorf, Jared spent his last season playing for the first place Pilot Butte Storm of the PJHL. Jared completes what gives Grenfell a very solid 2-way goaltending threat along side Kelly Lueck. A very quick goaltender, Jared has shown already he has keen hockey sense and fast reflexes. He currently works for Brandt Industries in Regina.


Name: Brennan Holloway #39
Last Team: Grenfell Spitfires
Yr With Spits: 2nd
Position: LW

Coming off a successful first season with the Spitfires that saw him walk away with the majority of hardware last year, Brennan is looking to add to his accolades. A former 2-time Junior B league scoring champion with Fort Knox and the Spitfires top scorer last year, Brennan spends his games turning opposing defences in circles. He displays one of the most accurate shots in the league to compliment his smooth hands and set up abilities. Brennan is currently a 1st year plumber in Regina.
