Grenfell -

On Monday, September 28, a semi-driver and his wife walked away from a semi rollover with only minor injuries after the east-bound semi rolled approximately nine miles west of Grenfell on the #1 Highway.
Corporal Devin Pugh of the Indian Head RCMP explained the events that led to the collision, as described by the driver.
"He decided to put sunglasses on, got distracted, the left front tire of the vehicle caught gravel on the centre median, he pulled the semi into the ditch and over-corrected, causing the vehicle to swerve, and subsequently rolled onto the left side."
The driver sustained only minor injuries, as did his wife who was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The two were transported to Grenfell for treatment and released later that day.
