The Rockglen School Graduation Ceremonies for 2011 took place on Saturday, May 28, in the afternoon.
This year’s theme was “Love the Life you live, Live the Life you Love”.
There were 17 students who participated in this year’s exercises. The ceremonies started off with our mistress’ of ceremonies, Talain Knoss and Britney Hubert introducing themselves. Gina Stewart sung O’Canada and Sharon Heagy blessed our graduates.
Barb Compton, Superintendent of School Services brought greetings on behalf of Prairie South School Division. Maria Prefontaine was this years’ salutatorian and Kristina Disney was our valedictorian.
Breanna Hostin created the slide show of pictures down memory lane. Marc Spagrud and Marina Thomson were the guest speakers.
Next the achievement awards were handed out. Belinda Spagrud presented Rockglen Rockette Scholarships to Tyler Hostin and Lacey Fisher.
The Governor General’s award went to Jeness Weisgerber. Next, the Steven Zoller Memorial Scholarship was presented by Shannon Stewart. The recipient of this award was Tyler Hostin.
The evening was completed by the presentation of scrolls and the Grand March. The staff at Rockglen School wish you success, but most of all we wish you happiness as you pursue your plans for next year and into the future.
