Deadly crash near Fleming

Fleming -

One man is dead following a collision on the Trans Canada Highway near Fleming, Saskatchewan.
The crash occured when a semi tractor trailer unit hauling a load of building supplies collided with a pick-up truck. The driver's side of the pick-up collided with the semi's passenger side.
A 45-year-old Nova Scotia man, the driver of the pick-up, was pronounced dead on the scene. The man was the sole occupent of the pick-up.
The driver of the semi unit, a 52-year-old Manitoba man, was treated for shock and released by ambulance at the scene.
A Collision Analyst from Swift Current Traffic Services remained at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
As of Friday, only one lane of traffic, both east and west-bound, remained open.
The name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Police are asking all motorists to be extra cautious while driving, and to adjust their speed accordingly when they come across sections with packed and/or blowing snow.
